At poets\u2019 camp, I wrote, I thought and read <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
and took the fullness as the world.\u202f <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Then I returned. Real life! So double, <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Magnficent in its archly grinning way;\u202f <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
the things we touch amidst the vast\u202f <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
uncaressable disarray.
\n<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0There are mortal things to be taken care of<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
devolving fences, lost opposum, children, <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
unwatered lawns, crabgrass, <\/span><\/div>\n
your hernia,\u00a0<\/span>those crenelated tubes and mass<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
fitted back in the ventral packet.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Sedation made us notice a new<\/div>\n
\n
harmonious; your tone, smoothed down <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
a notch, brought miniparadise.\u202f It\u2019s not\u202f <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
the heat to spark a forest fire that matters; <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
it’s caring for the one-worded poem between us.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
