The velvet ear of<br \/>close attention has been lost to racier<br \/>attractions. She is all hunger and eye,<br \/>I on the sidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Go ahead and throw garlands,<br \/>untighten, cultivate the longer hours.<br \/>Who, just who taught her<br \/>to shake the rafters?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to Literary Mama for publishing my poem in its March 2019 issue.
